Monarch’s approach to investing is hands-on, collaborative and hard working.  We enjoy supporting our portfolio companies as they undergo a transformative process on the way to sustainable success.  By arming entrepreneurs with tools and resources, we facilitate traction at each stage, this process we call The Monarch Metamorphosis Life Cycle. 

Monarch generally invests early in a company’s lifecycle.  Depending on the extent of the market opportunity, team and resources at the time of our initial involvement, we generally make three types of investments: seed, classic venture or secondary.  Regardless of when we get involved with a startup opportunity, we are committed to being an entrepreneur’s trusted partner to drive the company forward.

Most opportunities we pursue come to us through existing relationships and networks.  We prioritize this source of deal flow over other sources.  We enjoy forming strong long-term relationships with our entrepreneur partners.  We often work with the same entrepreneurial teams across multiple businesses.  We believe talented and visionary entrepreneurs have the luxury of choosing who they partner with to build their companies, and we are honored when Monarch becomes that partner of choice.
